2019/2020 FPIP Bus Contract

The terms and conditions set forth below represent the agreement between Friends of Parents in Partnership (hereinafter “FPIP”) and the Parent submitting this form (hereinafter “Parent”) with regard to the riding of the bus by Parent’s child(ren) to and from Valley International Preparatory High School (hereinafter “VIPHS”).

The Parent agrees to enter this contract under the terms and conditions presented below.
1. The contract is valid from August 19, 2019 through and including June 12, 2020. The contract may not be terminated early for any reason other than if the Parent withdraws their child(ren) from enrollment at VIPHS. The Parent understands if, for any reason other than withdrawal from enrollment at VIPHS, the Parent’s child(ren) ceases riding the bus, Parent is still bound by the terms of this contract and responsible for payment of the bus fee in full (less any amounts already paid by Parent).

2. The Parent may pay the bus fee in one installment, in the amount of $2,300.00 per child. This amount is due at the time the Parent registers their child(ren) to ride the bus. Alternatively, the Parent may opt to pay the bus fee in two installments, in the total amount of $2,400.00. Should the Parent choose the two-installment payment option, 50% of the total cost is due at the time the Parent registers their child(ren) to ride the bus ($1,200.00) and the remaining 50% of the total cost ($1,200.00) is due on or before January 6, 2020.

3. FPIP anticipates providing two buses, one picking up and dropping off at a location in or around Studio City and the other at a location in or around the Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys area. The specific times and locations for pickup and drop off will be determined once FPIP determines where the majority of its riders reside. Should there only be enough riders for one bus, the one bus will pick up and drop off at two locations, one at a location in or around Studio City and the other at a location in or around the Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys area.

4. The Parent expressly understands and agrees that FPIP has contracted a private bus company to provide transportation for Parent’s child(ren) to and from VIPHS, and to operate and maintain the bus. Parent further expressly understands and agrees that FPIP is not responsible for the transportation, operation and maintenance of the bus. The Parent further agrees to hold FPIP harmless from any and all claims for personal injury or property damage resulting from the Parent’s child(ren) riding the bus to and from VIPHS.

USE THIS FORM FOR A TWO-PAYMENT PLAN The first payment of $1400.00 is due upon registration. The second payment of $1000.00 will be billed to you no later than January 6, 2020 For a total of $2400.00

FPIP is the parent-teacher organization solely dedicated to VIPHS. FPIP  is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization and donations are tax-deductible. We will give you an acknowledgment letter for tax purposes.
